Chakra Meditation has the effect of deepening and clarifying our perception of physical center. When we combine this type of meditation with breath-centered movement, our bodies are able to align themselves more accurately around a stable core.

One of the most challenging experiences for people trying to improve symptoms of scoliosis through exercise is that what may feel symmetrical to us is actually not. When someone tries to straighten us out, we feel crooked or off-balance.

The person with scoliosis has an inaccurate ‘mental map’, or understanding of their body in relation to Earth and Space. The ScoliYoga program draws upon yogic movement & meditation techniques which refine proprioception. The body is gradually able to align itself to move more efficiently, with less fatigue.
